We’re partnering with Yaran Northwest to launch a new strand of our work: improv comedy workshops for adults with an immigration or refugee background.
Through this collaboration, we will bring improv to a new context while keeping the same goals: empowering our participants to make connections and build confidence. This will help them navigate society, while learning comedy skills and having a laugh with friends.
Yaran Northwest is a nonprofit that provides a range of psychological support to vulnerable adults, new immigrants, families and couples in Greater Manchester. Many people in their community wish to integrate, and strengthen their confidence and self-esteem. This is where Yaran’s mission intersects with ours, and where our improv comedy workshops come in.
You can read more about Yaran on their website.
