We’re back for autumn and winter 2026
We’re returning to Coffee4Craig for a new run of 8 improv comedy workshops! On Sundays from October 18 to December 6, we’ll co-create moments of laughter and connection. These workshops are for people who are experiencing, or are at risk of, homelessness. But everyone is welcome!
Coffee4Craig workshop dates
Dates: October 18, 25 // November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 // December 6
Time: 12:30 – 2:30 PM
Location: The Meanwhile, 153 Great Ducie Street, M3 1FB

As always, everyone is welcome! You need no prior comedy experience. We are looking forward to the jokes to be made!
Some questions you may have…
I’ve not done improv before, what should I expect?
Watch the video on our Impact Page. You’ll get a glimpse of the workshops and hear people talk about them.
What does it cost?
Our workshops are free to attend. You don’t have to pay anything to come.
What is Coffee4Craig?
Coffee4Craig is a Manchester-based homeless charity facilitating a safe space, a sense of belonging and the opportunity to recuperate. We partner with them in order to deliver improv comedy workshops for people facing homelessness.
I’m not sure I’m funny enough – can I really come?
Yes, of course! There is no such thing as not funny enough. We play structured improv games together, and you’d be surprised what you and other people come up with. We won’t put you on the spot, we never ask people to perform, and it’s also okay to just watch. Also: we have tea! So, please come.
Will there be someone from Coffee4Craig to talk to?
Yes. There will be staff from Coffee4Craig, and they actually participate in the workshops. You can get to know them and ask them about their services.
I’m not confident about my English skills. Can I do improv?
Yes, you can. We have accommodated people with various language abilities in the past and we will do our best to include you. For example, there are many improv games that need no or little language. This could be a low-pressure way for you to practice your English.
Who runs the workshop?
The improv comedy workshops are run by artists from Making Things Up. Visit our Team page to find out more about them.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! You can attend with a friend. Also, you might also make new friends at the session, but there is no pressure to socialise.
